Once this is installed, and used, and a computer is restored to an earlier time, would this program be non-useable again? Because restoring to an earlier time would 'uninstall' it, and then it would be past the GOTD period, and not installable again.

You can't continue on the older job but you can restart a new one and restore from any older jobs at any time.

No, because you wouldn't be able to restore to a time before you made the backup with the software....

I've been using this program for about 9 months and it has worked reliably and repeatedly to restore both my entire hard drive (boot-up included) and many files that were lost or inaccessible otherwise. There is no question that you can buy it once and use it repeatedly without having to update or re-purchase it. This should be made clearer.

Look at the meaning: back up and not restoration to original.
You are going to backup files and programs and "Genie" program which has been registered already
and reg. key and licence are already in ur back up files.
So "u have it all the time".
the only affected programs are some of those with the expiration date like antivirus that they use internal clock of the computer and also a diagnose while getting updated.
U'll have it all the time.
If u make a fresh backup copy of regedit.exe and software files and folders just right after installation before doing a total backup by "windows backup itself" on another partition, ext. hard or online, or cd.... still u may get it back buy windows backup. the other way is using other brand of backup-restore to regain it in case of not working
Even many microsoft internal backup (windows) they won't delete new programs and just they will fix the backup point time restoration.
IMPORTANT: do not put backup files in the windows installed "drive".
Too much better to choose an external storage for these files and for total backup, repeat backup after a while and keep 2 last data always.
its nice
